The State of the Union 2018
The State of the Union conference, organised by the European University Institute (EUI), is an annual event for high-level reflection on the European Union and the world. In the course of just eight years, it has become a reference point in the EU agenda for policy-makers, civil society representatives, business and opinion leaders, and academics. Presidents, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, as well as the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Parliament have taken part in the event over the years.
As the graphic designer of the EUI, my responsibility was to design the whole graphic identity for The State of the Union 2018. This included roll-ups and posters, stage background elements, ads for newspapers such as Financial Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and El Pais. My work also included designing the programme booklets, infographics and various accessories such as tote bags and pens.
